Hello
I’m a certified professional coach who helps executives in the creative services industry grow their company without neglecting themselves.
Chris Evans
My passion for developing people began when I was 17. I wanted people in the organizations l led to feel more capable and confident in their own skin. I wanted people to better understand each other, collaborate effectively, produce great work, and enjoy the process along the way.
After studying organizational behavior at Miami University I worked in management consulting for a few years at Deloitte. When I left the consulting world things became challenging in new ways. I co-founded and grew a few marketing agencies, often feeling like I was in over my head. When one of the agencies joined a larger holding company and my boss was promoted to a global role, I was asked to lead it. “I’d like you to serve as CEO,” said Doug.
“This is too soon,” I thought. “I’m not quite ready.” I wasn’t the most experienced, the most connected, or the loudest voice in the room. “Why me?” I asked.
“Because I’ve never met anyone better at connecting with people one-on-one and helping them see and believe in themselves.” he replied. “You can retain and grow the team, and that will grow the agency.”
After accepting the role as CEO, I was fortunate enough to participate in the holding company’s top leadership development programs, taught by brilliant professors from the world’s leading business schools.
But what made the biggest difference for me wasn’t the formal training. It was Doug holding space for me—essentially acting as a coach.
Every week, he would dial in from Spain and listen deeply to whatever I wanted to discuss. He asked provocative questions that helped me become aware of and process my thoughts — thoughts that from time to time were holding me back from making progress.
To his credit, he rarely offered advice. Even though he had founded the agency, he gave me the space to reflect on who I was and the leader I was becoming as I navigated a rapidly changing and competitive environment.
Over the following years, we grew the agency by 300%.
When it came time to pass the torch I hired a certified professional coach of my own. I dug deep into who I was and what I truly wanted to do next, whether within my company or beyond.
The experience was profound. It helped me understand myself better and begin to dream again.
This journey led me to where I am today—helping people who lead people to develop both personally and professionally.
What’s it like to work with me?
I come alongside you, offering deep, intuitive listening and a space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and intuition in a way that propels you toward your goals.
I approach each relationship with the belief that you are the expert on your life and business. I help you clarify what you truly want. Through reflective inquiry, we work to uncover and better understand anything that might be standing in your way.
Once we identify and clear these blocks, we can move toward action planning with accountability, effectively pursuing a path toward the progress you desire.
So, what do we talk about?
I’m equally comfortable delving into both business and personal topics—because everything is connected. I’m here to support you and hold your agenda on your behalf.
If your focus is on leadership, we typically explore your current satisfaction and goals in areas such as emotional intelligence, dynamic communication, influencing others, problem-solving, productivity, high-energy relationships, health and wellness, and time management and balance.
If you want to dig into broader, life-related issues and opportunities, we might explore your current satisfaction and goals around personal development, spiritual awareness, fun and enjoyment, intimate and social relationships, health and aging, personal finance, career/profession, and family/parenting.
Over the course of our time together, we may touch on all of these topics or go deep into just a few. It all depends on what’s coming up for you. You are always in control of how we invest our time.
One thing remains consistent across my coaching relationships: We go deep.
Going deep is the only way to effectively release blocks and ensure that your progress toward your goals is sustainable. While coaching relationships can vary in duration from months to years, my goal is to help you reach a level of self-awareness where you are actively and consistently tapping into your unlimited potential—both personally and professionally.
